Gnome Boating

Mr. XM decided that this would be the perfect weekend to update (i.e., dismantle)

his vintage 35 foot C and C sailboat. The plan was to sail on Saturday and anchor out somewhere and return on Sunday.

We quickly stumble upon Mr. XM’s friends (Andy and Gary, owners of a fantastic 37 foot trawler) at Leather Bury Marina. Now a solid foursome of sailors, we set off to fantastic winds and under the command of Captain Andy we hit a top speed of 9.4 knots - not bad for a 31 year old sailboat with our fat asses aboard.

And the gnome even got to drive the 37 foot trawler!
